"How Illegal Is It?" (the "Service") is operated by Jonathan Feldman, a sole proprietor ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you ("you", "user") agree to these Terms & Conditions.
The Service is an AI-powered tool that analyzes user-provided scenarios and returns commentary about their potential legality. It is provided strictly for educational and entertainment purposes.
The Service does not provide legal advice, does not create an attorney–client relationship, and is not a substitute for consultation with a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any output. Always consult a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here.
Outputs are generated by large language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or hallucinated. You are responsible for:
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) generate or facilitate illegal activity, harassment, deepfakes, hate speech, or malware; (b) attempt to jailbreak, reverse-engineer, or circumvent safety controls; (c) submit content you do not have rights to; (d) misrepresent outputs as professional legal advice; or (e) scrape, probe, or otherwise interfere with the Service's security or integrity.
We reserve the right to moderate, filter, refuse, or remove any input or output, and to suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious misuse. Rights-holders who believe content infringes their IP may contact us for takedown.
You must not misuse the Service, including by: using it unlawfully, committing fraud or spam, infringing intellectual property, or interfering with the security of the Service (e.g. malware, probing, scraping, bypassing rate limits).
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and underlying content, is owned by Jonathan Feldman and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or build competing services from it.
Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe handles payment authorization, currency conversion, applicable taxes, dispute processing, and related customer support on our behalf. You authorize the charge shown at checkout when you complete a purchase.
Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your inputs, your use of outputs, or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Jonathan Feldman resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
